I’ve had this eq for nearly a year now and what a year it’s been. First impressions were solid, pristine &. Some eqs can take away from a sound but just adds. It’s an eq for tracking, mixing and mastering. It was first mainly used in my bass guitar chain, boosting 200 and 1.6k was EVERYTHING. I then got a MS processor so that I could try it out on my 2bus and its been living very nicely over the last 6 weeks boosting the sides on all my stereo mix & masters. I still can’t believe the magic it provides for a stereo mix just by boosting the low and highs. I’m now saving up for a second one.
I had been looking for a Bax Eq for a long time. I saw the guys at Bad Dogs Audio was making one and I ordered two units.
Man, this is exactly what I was looking for : transparent, shiny top end without being harsh (ever), the low ends give a nice bottom when needed. It is sitting on all of my mixes ever since!
Congrats guys!!
