Il Bad Dogs P1 è uno strumento per chi ha ancora voglia di sporcarsi le mani (nel senso più nobile del termine) per costruire un suono che sia vivo. È un pezzo di ingegneria che rispetta l’arte dell’artista. Non stiamo parlando solo di guadagno, ma di decidere se vogliamo che la nostra traccia abbia quel tipico punch rotondo e setoso, o una risposta più definita e immediata. È lo stesso rigore che applico quando decido quale Studer o Ampex usare per una sessione di mastering analogico. Per un ingegnere, questa è libertà pura
I’ve had this preamp for well over a year now and it’s been used on every source that’s come through my studio. I’ve tried over 20 preamps since having this and this has the greatest and fullest sound especially when it comes to the low end. Since owning the P1 and later the Baxy, this has been my go to chain for full rich sounds. I have both transformer options and honestly they’re both so beautiful. I ended loving the Jenson slightly over the Lundahl, but having 3 different mic pre options (without transformers, Jensen & Lundahl) in one preamp is insane. Especially for that price.

Mi piace la possibilità di cambiare il trasformatore ed avere quindi 3 sonorità differenti da sfruttare in tutte le situazioni. Divertente anche da sperimentare.
Il pre restituisce, con ogni trasformatore, un suono elegante e raffinato. Mi ha piacevolmente colpito.
Dal punto di vista costruttivo il pre è ben fatto e di qualità, i pulsanti di plastica sono solidi e il potenziometro permette di essere molto precisi.
Il servizio clienti è efficiente e disponibile a soddisfare ogni curiosità e domanda sul prodotto in tutte le fasi di acquisto.
Il tutto trasmette la passione e l’impegno del produttore per questo mondo.

I came across this product on Facebook and liked the design and the concept behind it so I decided to try it out. I bought it with the Jensen trafo as I like the sound of them. I must say that this Pre coupled with the Jensen is amazing. Especially on female voices I like the vibe that It gives when you push it, it adds warmth and presence without being too extreme. Try it, you will not be disappointed.
L’ho comprato dopo aver visto una review del prodotto su youtube e mi è subito piaciuta l’idea di poter agire sul suono cambiando i trasformatori. Devo dire che a mio avviso il suono cambia tanto nelle tre modalità e per questo lo trovo molto versatile a seconda del genere musicale. Per esempio mi piace usarlo pulito sulle voci ed usare i trasformatori su chitarre elettriche o per ripassare campioni di batteria. Penso che ne prenderò un altro perché alla lunga dover cambiare il trasformatore diventa noioso, sarebbe stato meglio avere un selettore.
